About Us
Burnside Property Maintenance was incorporated in 1995 with a staff of two full-time employees. During the summer months, additional employees were added for landscape maintenance. Our kids have worked for us doing landscape, snow removal and housekeeping. Pat has worked for us since he was about 15 while he went to high school and then until he graduated from the University of Utah.
Before starting his own company, Bob built homes in the Salt Lake Valley and also worked for several years for a commercial plumbing and general contracting company. When home construction slowed down in the late 1980’s, Bob went to Park City to work as a finish carpenter during the construction of The Pinnacle Condominiums. He later worked for the management company that maintained The Pinnacles and several other surrounding condominium associations.
When an opportunity to start a management company came up, Bob became a licensed general contractor. With his carpentry and mechanical skills and his “hands on” work ethic, he has completed many total remodels at The Pinnacle and other homes and condos in the Park City area. In addition to the complete remodels, Bob has remodeled kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and laundry rooms and has replaced windows and doors and built exterior decks. We are experienced in working with HOA’s as their rules and regulations relate to remodels and additions.
For more than 28 years, Burnside Property Maintenance and Construction has managed The Pinnacle at Deer Valley Homeowners Association, an 86 unit condominium complex in lower Deer Valley. During that time BPM supervised a successful two-year long major remodel of the exterior of the buildings, completed a re-plumbing project throughout the complex, and supervised the safety upgrade of the fireplaces and chimneys in all 86 units. BPM is currently more than half way through a two-year, 11.4 million dollar exterior re-cladding project.
At a time when property managers for homeowners associations have an average lifespan of only a couple of years, Burnside’s 18 year relationship with The Pinnacle says a lot about our competence.
We understand that our clients have a major investment in their property and that the time that they spend at their “home away from home” is valuable to them. Because of this we do our best to maintain the property and handle any inconveniences that may arise.
We take very seriously the trust that our clients have in us.
We are native Utahns and love the mountains and the natural beauty of our state.
